High Bay PIR occupancy switches This range of HIGH BAY passive infra-red (PIR) occupancy switches is specifically designed for the automatic control of lighting loads in areas with demanding mounting heights such as factories, storage aisles, entrance halls and sports halls. They include a relay with special high surge contact material, so they are suitable for use with high bay LED lamps. The products incorporate a passive infra-red quad sensor to detect movement of a warm body within its detection zone and a photocell to monitor the ambient light level. All standard high bay controls are hard wired and can be mounted directly onto solid ceilings or onto a range of different mounting boxes. Each control is hard wired and can be mounted directly onto solid ceilings or a range of different mounting boxes. These controls operate by Absence Detection. It requires a retractive (momentary) switch to be pressed when a person enters the room. This will switch the lights ON and enable the PIR switch to control the load. The load will automatically be switched OFF or to its reduced lux level (minimum) when no further movement is detected for its RUN-ON time.
